Rotary Club, Grocery Grab winner Jane Bock started in the meat and frozen foods aisle during her five-minute shopping spree at Crete Foodmart Saturday morning.

Rotary_GroceryGrab_50webBock bought three tickets for the club’s contest, for which over 500 were sold, and was drawn as the grand prize winner. She filled her one cart with a total of $848.54 worth of items. Store owner Peter Clarke (above, left - checking the receipt) cleared the aisles just before 9 a.m. Saturday for the timed event. Customers, Rotary members and Bock’s daughter, Maggie, watched from the front of the store, at times shouting out items to grab. Her overflowed cart filled three carts of bagged groceries.
